Can’t Deny It
By Krissyjj
She walked down the deserted concrete sidewalk, growling angrily. ‘Of all the places. Sunnydale? The Hell mouth just had to be here, didn’t it? Of course, goddess, just wait till I find him. I am going to rip his throat out. I’m going to eat his eyeballs. I am…hungry. Arg!’ She threw her hands into the air, taking in an unnecessary breath to calm her raging insane mind. ‘Sunnydale? Only humans would name their town Sunnydale. I need to feed; these songs are driving me to the edge. Sunnydale…goddess I want to go back to England…where is he?’
She continued to walk down the street when she noticed that her hair was standing on edge. Reaching to the precious necklace that hung around her throat she paused, smelling the air. ‘Oh this is bleedin’ magical. I come to this place only to be killed the moment I enter it.’
She looked around for the threatening presence, to see a young beauty walking down the sidewalk with another tastily happy meal. Biting her lip she looked to her left, to see the opposite road…with no shelter. Looking to her right she saw an endless forest of woods leading to goddess knew where. Grabbing the edges of her dress she ran into the woods and stopped, turning, to watch the blonde and her friend continue to walk.
‘Bleedin’ Slayers.’ She cursed, turning back towards the woods. “Hmm…” She pondered, seeing a small light further into the woods. Smiling to herself she continued into the woods, to find her beautiful Sire’s childe.
“Screwy ain’t it?” The television blared out through Spike’s speakers.
Spike sighed, watching the silly cartoon program. Nighttime and he couldn’t go out. “I’m going to kill that bloody Slayer.”
“So why haven’t you?” A voice answered from behind him, causing Spike to jump up from his black velvet couch.
“Oh God.”
“God? Since when do you have a religion, William?”
Spike dropped his head in his hand. “Why you?”
She shrugged, taking a seat on the couch. “Why not?”
Spike looked down to his ‘sister’. Angelus’ childe, Victoria. She was a lovely creature, large luscious red lips, deep silver eyes, however impossible that may be, she was not one to be ignored. Her hair had changed since he’d last seen her. Her normally golden locks were now a jet-black color, running down her back, framing her face and wrapping around her hips. Today she wore a magical olden England dress that was a blood red decorated in ancient Greek designs that was tight and full, making her quite a tasty morsel. “Vick, what are you doing here?”
“Why I’ve come for you, William.”
“I don’t go by William any more.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“Spike.”
She giggled softly, her voice as soft and sweet as the wind. So many memories were flooding his head, he could never forget her, but he could never have her as well. She had loved Angelus for a while, until he’d gotten his bloody soul, then she’d given up on love, believing the same thing the Slayer did, a vampire was incapable of love. Sighing, angry for forgetting that she was insane as well, he sat down beside her.
Angelus had driven her crazy just like Drusilla.
“So where is the ho now?” She turned, reading his thoughts.
Spike groaned again. She had powers, and not just visions. “She left me.”
“Left you?” She searched his eyes for a moment. “Then why do the flowers tell me you have love in your heart?”
“I don’t have a heart, love.”
She giggled. “I won’t pry, you were always once to keep to yourself. Why Sunnydale though?”
“Everyone has to be somewhere, pet.”
Victoria nodded, leaning her head onto his shoulder. Spike smiled down at her, always the weak ones that Angel had sired. She was a marvelously woman, this girl. She had always smelled so pretty…like the flowers that spoke to her.
“Roses and Tulips.” She answered his question, sitting up.
“Stay out of my head or I might have to hurt you.”
She smiled, kissing him softly on the cheek. “I’m hungry, Spike. Come, let’s feed.”
Spike moaned in the back of his throat. “I’ve already fed, love.”
“Don’t lie to me, William.” She warned. “My children don’t like lies.”
At least she wasn’t as bad a Dru. “Look love…”
“You haven’t feed in a long time, William. What has happened that causes a vampire to lose his bite?”
Spike pouted. “I can’t…”
She smiled devilishly, stepping so they were hardly inches apart. “Don’t make me go in there Spike.” But the vampire refused to tell her so she went in. “You have that bleedin’ chip in your head. Oh my Goddess!”
“Don’t talk about Athena now…”
She hushed him with a small kiss. “And you’re in love with that Slayer.”
“That? You’ve seen her?”
Victoria nodded. “I can’t blame you, though. She is pretty.”
“Please don’t harm her…”
She giggled. “Since you asked nicely, but I think I will do a little research on her…”
“Victoria!” Spike called after her, but she was already gone.
She stood outside the window, where the Slayer couldn’t sense her. The lovely woman had just gotten out of a nice warm shower, steaming up the mirrors in the bathroom, from what Victoria had seen from the window. Leaning against the wall so the Slayer couldn’t see her she was happy to see the Slayer dressing. ‘She is a sight.’ Victoria thought to herself as she saw the Slayer dressing, her tight arse shining in the false light of the room. Victoria watched as she pulled on her jeans just as a child walked in.
“Dawn! I’m coming!” The Slayer bellowed as the sister blushed and walked out of the room.
“Sorry Buffy!” This Dawn girl called back.
‘Buffy? Strange name.’ Victoria thought, watching as the Slayer walked out of the room. She listened inside the house as the Slayer paused beneath her…then walked out of the house, a large black bag in hand…full of not fun killing things that the roses told her were bad.
She waited a moment, watching as the Slayer disappeared out into the darkness before turning and entering the house. Standing in the Slayer’s room she cocked her head. “A Slayer lives here?” She rolled her eyes, thinking about William. Poor bloke, he couldn’t enter homes without permission. Her hands went to her necklace again. ‘Well, had he come to India with me that wouldn’t be a problem.’ She thought, noticing a small book on the edge of the nightstand. Walking over she saw a large glass of milk, wasting itself on the table beside it.
Giggling to herself she took a sip and sat on the floor, pulling the book off the stand.
“My Diary.” The script said on the cover of the book. Victoria smiled and opened in, skimming the contents until she saw Spike’s name.
“He’s come back today. Spike, that is.” Victoria read the contents out loud in a whisper. “I can’t believe he’d do this to me, he promised. I save the world and he leaves with Drusilla. She left him, that ho. How could she? Such a loyal pup, he’d kill me if he knew I called him a pup. It’s so wiggy to have him back, his piercing blue eyes, and his idiotic blonde hair. Oh God, I’m going to stake myself now. I’m in love with my mortal enemy…” Victoria threw her head back, trying not to squeal in delight. “Match maker time!” She giggled, continuing reading some more of the important parts. “…he seems to hate me…how can I blame him…Drusilla gone…drunken Spike…evil vampire…love with Angel…save the world…slayer duties…”
She paused. ‘Angel? No…’
Rushing threw the pages she found a date. “I’ve ruined my life…I slept with that dark haired vampire…lost soul…”
That was enough information. Victoria stood and placed the diary back on the table. She wasn’t in love with Angelus any longer, plus he didn’t mean anything to her anyway, it just hurt her that Spike was in love with Angelus’ seconds. As she took another look around the room, not noticing anything else of interest, she stepped out of the window, wondering what wiggy meant.
“What are you reading my dear?” She asked, sneaking up behind him.
Spike jumped up in surprise. “Bloody hell, Vick! Don’t do that!”
Victoria grabbed the magazine from his hands. “Victoria’s secret? Why Spike, I didn’t know you wanted to know all about my secrets.”
Spike blushed, if possible, and knocked the magazine out of her hands. “I was looking…”
“To buy the Slayer something?”
Spike groaned as Victoria turned and walked out of the room, only to return a moment later dragging something heavy. “Oh William. I do have a surprise.”
Spike turned and his eyes widened. “For me?”
She nodded and dropped the body of the girl on the floor. “She’s dead, so don’t worry about that chip thing.”
Spike ran over and kissed her, then fed.
Victoria walked out of the pet store, carrying the small puppy in her arms, and a large basket of goodies for it, including chains, collars, bottled water, and a few other things. Walking back to the small castle in the woods she opened the door and dropped the dog on the floor so he could run around. Sitting the bag on the kitchen table she went to turn on the shower.
“Hiya love,” Spike said, holding a small box of snacks in his hand when the vampiress walked back into the kitchen.
“William, those aren’t for you.” Victoria giggled as the puppy began circling her feet.
Spike looked down at the box in his hand and gasped, dropping it on the floor. “Dog biscuits? Dog?”
Victoria smiled, picking up the sweet puppy golden retriever. “I named him Bloody.”
Spike tried not to gag. “Bloody?”
“After you, my love.”
Spike again tried not to pass out. “Why?”
“My roses told me to get him. He had such sad eyes, William. The stars sung such a sad song.”
Victoria rattled on for a few moments until the insanity spell passed. ‘At least she isn’t like this 24-7.’ Spike sighed as she came back to reality. “Feeling better, love?” He asked, as her eyes grew clearer.
She smiled sadly. “The only down side to being made by my Angelus.”
Spike nodded. “Yea, give me that dog ‘or you squeeze him to death.”
The beauty looked down in her arms to see the pup squirming. “Oops.” She smiled, releasing the dog into Spike’s care. “Well, love. You take good care of Bloody, I’m going out to feed.”
Spike nodded, fully entertained with the dog, and walked into the living room as Victoria walked out of the castle.
She smelled her from miles away. The sent of a Slayer is like no other, no matter whether one is a vampire, demon, or any other creature of darkness. Licking her lips in hunger she kicked herself for even thinking of it. If Spike hadn’t been able to dispatch of the Slayer, and fallen in love with her along with Angelus she didn’t have much of a chance, even though she’d be better matched for this woman.
Looking into the darkness of the streets the lights above her began to turn on. Hiding behind some of the trees she watched as the Slayer and her sister entered a magic shop. “Interesting.” The Slayer was involved in magic. My she is the different Slayer. What a piece of work.
Victoria stood at the window of the magic shop and was taken back by the number of people in there. She had an entire Slayer gang with her, no wonder she’d been alive so long. “A Slayer with family and friends? My, my, my.”
The red haired one was the most interesting one, along with the elder man of the group. No doubt that the two were a witch and watcher. She stood out there for a few moments and concentrated, focusing her energy into the red haired one.
Her name was Willow, a kind sweet little innocent, with her bright red hair and sweet kind eyes. She had a love…a werewolf of some kind. What a group. Shaking her head Victoria focused a little more…
“I’m going out for donuts.” Willow suddenly said.
“Hey, I’m munchies guy!” Xander said, looking up from his book.
Willow’s eyes widened. ‘Why did I say that?’ she asked herself when suddenly she again heard herself speaking. “I need the air, Xander. Plus…my eyes are tired.”
“Willow? Tired of reading?” Buffy almost came out with a silly comment before Willow held up her hand. “No, I’m going.”
The red haired witch stood up and, grabbing her jacket walked out of the little magic shop. The gang looked at each other, somewhat worried…
“Hello, my sweet.” Victoria said, stepping out of the shadows when the two were a good distance away from the shop.
Willow squealed and pulled out a dagger. “Wh…who are you?”
Victoria held up her hands as a white flag. “I wish to speak with you, love.”
Willow lowered the dagger. “Y…you made me…”
“Yes, I made you leave the shop. I have gifts like yours. I need your help.”
“What are you doing?”
“Helping you William.”
“How is SHE going to help us?”
“William, go play with Bloody.”
Spike growled, causing Victoria to giggle until Willow interrupted. “Can someone tell me what’s going on?”
Spike looked up at her. “I wish I could, love.”
“Spike. Go. Now.” Victoria said, throwing a pillow at him. Spike sighed, defeated, and walked out. “Pillock.” He hissed.
“I heard that!”
“Good!”
Victoria giggled again and turned to Willow. “The stars are ready, we must hurry before the moon says goodbye.”
Willow cocked her head as Victoria closed her eyes. “Sorry, insane moment.” She whispered turning. “Come on.”
Willow followed the powerful vampire down the dark hallway where they had been. She led them both down a circular stairwell where torches lit the walls and into a dungeon like place. Looking around her when they reached the end she saw a torture chamber like place, cells at the farthest end, chains on the side wall, torches, tables of wiggy devices that looked painful…
“You’re not going to…”
“No innocent. I’m not going to torture you or kill you. I have no reason to.” She looked at her devilishly. “I’m not hungry.”
Willow forced a smile as Victoria laughed. Shaking her head the vampire lit the candles in a circle and sat on once side, motioning for Willow to do the same, and Willow, not wanting to anger the crazy vamp, did so.
“Now, here is the spell.”
“Oh my goddess. You’re going to…”
“That’s right.”
Buffy yawned as she walked into her home; shutting the door quietly she looked at her watch. Almost time for patrolling. Buffy groaned, walking into the kitchen and grabbing a drink, tossing her bag onto the floor. Sighing she sat down on another stool and yawned again. After a few moments and a little more rested and awake she sat the glass she’d been drinking and grabbed her slaying bag from the closet.
In the cemetery Buffy was bored. Sitting down on a recently placed headstone she watched her feet swing back and forth, back and forth, back in forth as the hours ticked away.
“You’ve been drinking love.”
Buffy looked up to see the bloody one himself…with a dog? Buffy squealed at the cute little puppy, picking him up in her arms. “Spike, you weren’t planning on eat…”
“No,” Spike said, taking the dog out of her hands again. “He’s a…pet.”
Buffy almost collapsed in laughter.
“Oh shut up you bloody Slayer.”
The storms began at that moment and the two were soaking wet. Buffy squealed as she felt the drops of water explode on her body. “Oh! I just bought this!”
Spike laughed, running his hands through his hair as they both froze at that moment.
Silence.
Silence.
“Come on Slayer, let’s go to my house, it’s closer,” Spike said, shaking off the strange feeling that had rushed though him.
Buffy nodded, trying to figure out what that sensation was and followed as Spike led her back to his house. “You know, I’ve never been to this place…” Buffy said, tucking her arms around her as they walked deeper into the woods.
“Yea, I know. It’s the real place I stay, lot more cozy that ‘hat other place,” Spike called back as they reached it.
Buffy was taken aghast by the large mansion. “It’s like, Rocky Horror or something.”
“Cruel Intentions?”
They laughed together. “It’s big, that’s for sure.”
Spike opened the large door to the dark and almost deserted mansion. “Stay here, make yourself at home, Slayer. I got someo…something to do.”
Buffy looked at him as he walked away. God he’s got a cute butt. Kicking herself she walked into the living room calling the dog who’d run in there a moment later.
Spike reached the end of the staircase, but she wasn’t there. “Witch? Vick?” He called out just to be sure. Walking over to the torture table he noticed a small scroll.
William,
The Stars told me you’d be looking. The one with blood hair and I went out for a while. Show this to your beloved, she’ll like it.
~Victoria
Spike looked down as his eyes widened. His dagger he’d lost after Angelus got that bloody soul. He’d lost this years and years ago; he’d love this dagger.
Spike grinned as he felt the blade cut into his skin. It was a small but deadly thing, encrusted roses embedded on the face of a skull. It was the most beautiful thing he’d seen. Angelus had told him it was a Greek dagger of some war god or something but he’d just liked the looks.
Taking the dagger he walked up the stairs to find Buffy.
But he found Riley. “What are you doing here?” Spike growled, hiding the dagger behind his back.
“I followed you and Buffy here. Where is she? I’m going to take her home.”
“Look you bloody pillock, just because you aren’t a vampire doesn’t mean you don’t need an invitation to just waltz in my house like this. Leave.”
“Buffy!” The mortal called out.
That was it. Spike couldn’t take any more of this. It would drive him to insanity if he didn’t cut this wanker to oblivion.
The dagger met flesh.
Blood met floor.
Riley met floor.
No pain…
No pain…
Spike grinned in amazement as Riley stood and no pain came from the soddin’ chip. Spike threw his head back in laughter as his knee met Riley’s face.
The mortal fell to the ground in a musical thump.
Reaching down Spike pulled the dagger from his chest and licked the blood that ran down it. As the brunette began to scramble up the vampire’s foot met with his midsection, causing the mortal to go flying against the bare hallway wall.
Riley scramble to his feet and punched the game-faced vampire in the nose.
“Oh that hurt.” Spike said in humor, doing likewise, breaking the mortals nose and sending his head against the wall.
“Not so fun without your…”
Speak of the devil.
“SPIKE!” Buffy screamed, knocking the vampire out of the way. Kneeling down Buffy bit her lower lip, examining the mortal’s wounds. After a moment Spike whistled as Bloody appeared in the doorway and the dog jumped into his arms.
Buffy jumped up and growled. “How did you do this?”
“Oh it’s quite fun love. Want me to show you how?” Spike grinned, heading for Riley.
Buffy forced herself not to laugh. “I mean with the chip.”
Spike grinned devilishly, looking down into her eyes. “What color are your eyes?”
Buffy’s brows narrowed. “What?”
“You have the most beautiful colored eyes.”
Riley awoke from his deep sleep and looked up to see the Slayer and Vampire nose to nose. “Buffy?” He called out.
Spike looked down and dropped the dog into the Slayers hands. Walking over he picked the mortal up by his neck and, walking the small distance from the hallway to doorway, tossed him into the cold and rainy weather.
“Spike!” Buffy growled, trying to run after her boyfriend.
Spike slammed the door in front of her, stopping her dead in her tracks. The Slayer looked up at him, his ice blue eyes staring seductively at her. “Slayer.” He whispered.
Buffy couldn’t tear her eyes away from him. Spike leaned down and kissed her softly, magically, throwing her into her own little world…where he was the only thing there. Slaying didn’t matter…family…life…death…There was only him and her…she and he…Spike and Buffy, Buffy and Spike, Slayer and Vampire, Vampire and Slayer.
Only them. Buffy and William.
Spike pulled away slowly, searching her eyes for anger, hate, love, lust, anything.
He found love.
She bit her lower lip and looked down as the little dog barked in her arms. She shook her head softly and let the dog go.
“I…I have to…um…go.” She said, running out of the door.
Spike watched, head leaning on the doorway as the rain let up and the Slayer was running towards her home. Looking down to the dog that begged up at him he smiled.
Buffy couldn’t help herself as Willow walked into the bar with her. “Buffy, we shouldn’t be here!”
Buffy snickered. “Why not?”
“It’s a nude bar for one.” Willow squeaked, hiding her eyes from the men on stage.
Buffy snorted, guzzling down the tequila in her hand.
“Buffy give me that!” Willow said, reaching for the drink.
Buffy pulled it away and threw her nose up in the air. “No.”
“Buffy, you’re not old enough to drink.”
Buffy’s head dropped to the table. “None of the Slayers were ever old enough to do anything. I’m the oldest, I’m an exception.”
“No, you’re drunk.”
“Look Willow, I’m the Schlayer,” she slurred. “I am powerful!” She threw the bottle up in the air letting out a loud whoop of joy.
Willow blushed and looked away from the stage again. “Let’s go,” she said, pulling the Slayer out of the bar before she was sinned for life.
“Oh come on,” Buffy argued as Red dragged her out. “Like you gonna tell me you never done it before.”
“Buffy!”
“Who’d you like better? Giles or Oz?”
“BUFFY!”
Buffy giggled as the witch pulled her onto the bus. “Be quiet, we’re in public.”
“I got something to tell you.” Buffy whispered, leaning into Willows ear.
Willow grinned, knowingly. “Yes?”
“I krished Spike last night.”
“Krished?”
“Yea, krished. Lip locked, shmooched.”
“You kissed Spike?”
Buffy nodded. “I think I love him.”
Willow giggled as the Slayer fell asleep on her shoulder.
Victoria couldn’t help smile as she walked into the living room to the site that lay before her. The first thing she noticed was the TV was on fuzz, a book lay on the floor close to it, no doubt that had been thrown at it during a scene a certain bleedin’ vampire didn’t like. The second thing was that the blinds of the windows were opened and the sun was rising. Rushing over Victoria pulled down the blinds and pulled the black curtains.
Singing the song her roses had been singing she clicked on the lamp next to the couch and smiled down at the sleeping angelic face that lay before her, with the pup nestled underneath his chin.
Spike was such an angel, even though he was a demon.
“My love?” She whispered, shaking his shoulder softly.
Spike groaned. “Just kill ‘em.”
She giggled. “My Spike, awaken.”
“Bloody wanker.”
She shook her head and grabbed the squirming dog beneath him. “He’ll have so many questions tomorrow won’t he little one?”
The pup barked in response.
“Shush. Let’s not awaken him. Come, my roses want to play.”
The first thing she noticed was a loud sound that wouldn’t stop.
The she noticed the drummers blaring nonsense in her head.
Buffy groaned, turning to her side and pulling the blankets over her ears. “Make ‘em stop.” She growled.
After a moment the ringing didn’t stop, and she realized it was the telephone. Squirming over to the side table she plopped her head in her hand, letting her eyes adjust to the bright light that shinned in from her window.
After her eyes adjusted she looked at the clock.
“Great it’s noon. I’m glad I don’t have classes.” She moaned as she reached over and picked up the continuing ringing phone, trying to restrain herself from throwing it against the wall.
“’Lo?” She answered.
“Buffy? Are you okay?”
Riley. Yuck. Why not Giles, Willow? Oz even. Xander would even be nice.
“Yeah I’m fine.”
“What happened last night?”
Buffy thought for a moment but all she could remember was a bright blinking light and Willow. “What do you mean?”
“Spike! Don’t you remember?”
Oh yea…
“Look Riley.”
“What happened to the chip in his head? He shouldn’t have been able to…”
“Beat you up?” Buffy suggested, not giving a damn. Should have been able to defend yourself you worthless rag doll’
“Buffy…”
“Riley, I think we should see other people.” Why did I say that? Buffy suddenly regretted it.
“Buffy…”
“Riley I’m sorry,” she said deep in thought. I just need some alone time; my life is so messed up. Just some time. “I just need some time.”
It sounded so fake.
“Buffy…”
“I’m sorry. Chat later, ‘kay.”
Buffy hung the phone up and reached for the aspirin, planning to sleep till sundown.
Spike awoke at sundown, looking around to see darkness everywhere. Standing up he heard a small singing voice echoing in the kitchen. Groaning he stood and walked in there to see his sister dancing in circles while the dog watched, annoyed for some reason.
“You’re going to bore that dog to death.”
“Or I could just eat him.” She giggled, still dancing in circles. “Can you hear them, Spike? They’re singing such beautiful music.”
“They always sing beautiful for you, love.”
“Oh they’re not singing for me, William. They’re singing for you. For her and you. It’s beginning for the both of you.”
“Victoria?”
“Yes, William. For you and the Slayer. The roses set the scent, the moon sets the mood, and the stars control the love.”
“Victoria, what did you do?”
“I gave you what you wanted, my dearest brother.”
“What spell did you do?”
She giggled, taking the puppy away from his arms. “Nothing that wasn’t already there.”
Spike watched as she let the dog loose and pulled herself so the two weren’t more than an inch away from kissing. “You for her, her for you. That’s the way it’s suppose to do.”
Spike groaned. “That doesn’t make any sense love.”
“Who says love is suppose to make sense?” She answered his question. “It’s there, it is. Don’t deny your heart.”
Spike heard a loud banging on the door and Victoria rushed out of the room, out of the castle through the back door.
“I don’t have a heart you insane pillock.”
I heard that Spike. A voice echoed in his head, causing him, yet again, to groan.
Walking down the hallway he opened the castle door and was immediately embraced in a tight and deep kiss with a certain blonde. After a moment of shock her wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer.
Then after a few minutes he remembered she had to breath. Pulling away she gasped for breath and he smiled, closing the door. “What happened to the wanker?”
She smiled. “I left him Spike. I didn’t know why, but I do now. I love you.”
Spike raised an eyebrow. “Slayer…”
“Spike I really do love you,” She said, reaching up to kiss him again.
The bleached blonde pulled away. “Slayer stop. I can’t take advantage of this bloody thing they did to us.”
“What?”
Spike pulled opened the door and pushed her out against her will. “I’m sorry, Slayer. It’s not what you think…”
“It’s because of Angel isn’t it?” she asked, more begging. “Please Spike, don’t leave me…don’t you care about me?”
The vamp rolled his eyes. “No Slayer. It’s…it’s because you’re a Slayer! Vampire, Slayer. No!”
Spike slammed the door and fell back against it, tears in his eyes as he heard Buffy calling to him through the door. Rushing over he threw the switch on the stereo and turned it up full blast.
Darling you gotta let me know
Should I stay or should I go?
If you say that you are mine
I'll be here 'til the end of time
So you got to let know
Should I stay or should I go?
Always tease tease tease
You're happy when I'm on my knees
One day is fine, next is black
So if you want me off your back
Well come on and let me know
Should I Stay or should I go?
Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An' if I stay it will be double…
Spike fell back against the couch, the tears he’d been holding back falling out in sobs that couldn’t be heard over the music.
He still heard her at his door, still smelled her sent in the air.
It was the hardest thing he’d ever done.
She was crying so hard when she burst into the magic shop, immediately surrounded by Anya, Xander, Willow, and Giles.
“Buffy! What happened?” Willow asked pulling her into a chair of the shop.
She wrapped her arms around the witch so tightly. “Spike…someone did something…he hates me…Willow? Why won’t he take me?”
Willow looked at Giles in fear for a moment. “It’s my fault Buffy.”
Red began to explain.
“You let her go?” Victoria asked angrily, now sane.
“What did you do?”
“You are such an idiot!” She said, punching him in his face.
Spike stumbled back by her forceful blow. “You put a spell on her!”
Victoria’s head fell back in a fit of laughter. “My goddess Spike! It was just a true heart spell that Willow helped me on.”
“A what?”
“A true heart spell you bleach-head. Did some of that blonde go into your brain or something? It brings to the surface what is hidden deep within ones heart.”
“You mean?”
“She loves you truly Spike. Only your stupidity and her ‘no more vamps and slayer love’ morals keep you two apart.”
Spike threw the vampire woman up in his arms and spun her around in circles. She giggled and stumbled as he put her back to the ground and kissed her softly running out of the castle.
“Red!” She called, hiding behind the trees as the two saw each other.
“Hiya!” She squealed running over.
“You told her?”
“Yes, did you tell him?”
“Yes, he was so happy. Was she?”
“Oh yes. Hysterical.”
The two giggled and quieted down as the two people rushed into each other’s arms. They stood for a moment, their mouths moving in communication, and then they pulled themselves to each other and kissed deeply and passionately.
Victoria looked down at the Witch. “He has a soul you know.”
“What?” Her eyes widened in fear.
“Not like Angelus. No. His soul is something more deep that we can’t explain. Drusilla didn’t have a soul, but he did. My William always has something so precious it could never be taken away.”
“What was it?”
Victoria smiled. “A true heart. Not even a vampire can destroy that.”
Willow smiled and looked back at the happy couple that was walking towards the moonlight. “Will they be happy, Victoria?”
“Oh yes Willow. It will be a long hard road but they will be happy in the end.”
The two strange women began walking away from the scene into the city. “What about the entire early death of the Slayer thing?”
“The other Slayers died because they had a death wish. They were alone, without family, friends, or love. Buffy has all three of those.”
Willow smiled as Victoria looked down at her. “You really mean that?”
“Heck I’m vision girl, you little witch. Now come on, I’m having a vision, and it’s telling me we are going to do some serious shopping in LA!”
“LA?” Willow squealed. “Oh can I come?”
“Yea! We’ll stop by at Angelus and rub Buffy’s relationship in his face, then do some serious damage to that town!”
Willow giggled as they reached Victoria’s car, an expensive top of the line black convertible that’s license place read, “InSaNe!”
